Members Evening September 2024 – Letters I & J
As usual, our season of meetings kicked off with members displaying items that matched the chosen theme letters, which this time was the turn of letters I and J.
Keeping with our now traditional ‘fluid’ interpretation of the letters (absolutely essential when you get to the letter X!) our members did not disappoint. We saw displays about:
- Independent Rhodesia
- India & Indian States
- Dutch Indonesia
- Norway’s Inland Waterways
- Italy World Cup
- UPU issues from Iceland, Italy, Iraq, Iran, Israel and Japan
- Jamaica
It was fascinating hearing the stories behind these displays; how people came to collect them and how they related to the letters in question.
