Postal History of Kamerun or Cameroun
The Society were treated to a fabulous display of material from Kamerun or Cameroun by Bryan Lythgoe on 10th February 2015. Brian took us through a wide range of material starting with the establishment of the very first postal services in the country, through its establishment as a German colony and its subsequent move to become a French Colony.
From postal history items through the stamps and cancellations, including some rare overprints, to covers, proofs and essays Brian gave the audience a wonderful insight into the history and development of the Postal Service in Cameroun.
The following photos give some idea of the breadth of material covered.
