Chairman’s Evening takes a trip to Barbados
Our annual Chairman’s evening is an opportunity for the Chairman to either show elements of their own collection, or for them to invite someone to come and present something that members have not seen previously.
This year, Jim Hart invited fellow member Jonathan Guy to share aspects of his Barbados collection which, despite being a member for over a decade, he had not been shown before.
The first half was a display of the 1937-49 Badge of the Colony series, with examples of each stamp including shades, multiples, errors and commercial used mail, from the ½d to the 5/-.
Part two was a display of covers featuring the Victorian keyplate design of 1888, followed by the Large Seal stamps of 1918-20.
