Weaver Hall Museum Stamp Exhibition October 2013
During October 2013 Northwich Philatelic Society put on a two day exhibition at the Weaver Hall Museum in Northwich, aimed at encouraging people to look at the many different forms of stamp collecting. On display were a huge variety of stamps, covers and ephemera including;
- Early GB stamps and postal history
- Northwich cancellation
- Birds on stamps
- Wildlife of USA
- African covers
- Early airmail routes from London to Argentina
- GB stamps of World War II
- African Railways
- The Scout Movement
- Games and Hats
- The USA Centenary Exhibition 1947
These displays and many more were shown at the museum and the photographs below are a record of the event along with some of the exhibits.
